Program provides direct services to match children up with a responsible adult mentor on a one-to-one relationship. If offers 12 - 15 group activity events annually for those children registered in the program. There are free summer camps available, 4-day camp for children 2nd-6th grade, a Sailing Camp on Clearlake for teen boys and retreat for teen girls.
Mentor training is available for adults.All services are free for children 6 to 18 living in a single parent home, foster home, disabled parent or parents or grandparents raising their grandchildren..Volunteers must be 18 years of age, be fingerprinted, have a DMV check, a car and auto insurance.They must be a resident of Lake County for at least six months and have three favorable references.This program covers all of Lake County.
