Transition Place is a therapeutic community for men licensed and certified by the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Program to help with substance abuse problems. The services are provided for a minimum of two years with a maximum of up to six years. The Transition Place is self-supporting and provides food, shelter and education in a safe environment for ambulatory, mentally competent individuals who are in good health and over the age of 18 years. Our services are provided both on an in-patient and out-patient basis. Transition Place employs a therapeutic community model; using individual counseling and group therapy to aid the resident in accepting personal responsibility and identifying negative behavior patterns. We aid in altering these patterns through a cognitive approach. Funding is provided by labor exchange and is self-supporting. An attorney, probation officer or parole officer must refer incarcerated individuals to the program if they are currently having legal difficulties that might require further incarceration.

Criminal Justice - Social Re-Entry Programs are for a minimal of 2 years. Our goal is to assist residents return to a substance abuse and crime-free life where they can again, ( or maybe for the first time ) take their place in the community and live happier, more productive lives. The emphases is on, GED, Job Training, Marketable Skills, Computer Training and the ability to survive in society. Each individual must graduate with three marketable skills.
