Lake County Public Health has received a limited supply of “Zostavax (Shingles) vaccine and Prevnar 13 (Pneumococcal Conjugate) vaccine”. Zostavax is a vaccine used for adults to prevent Shingles (also known as Zoster). Prevnar 13 vaccine is used for the prevention of pneumococcal pneumonia and invasive disease caused by 13 Streptococcus pneumoniae strains.
