The U.C. Master Gardeners of Lake County are pleased to present an Introduction to Seed Saving workshop on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The workshop will take place at the Agricultural Center, 883 Lakeport Blvd., Lakeport, a wheelchair accessible facility.
Make your gardening efforts more sustainable and save money by saving the seeds of your favorite vegetables! U.C. Master Gardener Gabriele O’Neill will teach you what you need to know in order to harvest veggies that look and taste as good as the ones you saved seeds from. Lake County farmers will also share their knowledge and experience and will answer your questions about growing vegetable varieties that are suitable for Lake County.
Please RSVP for the workshop by September 6, 2012 by calling the U.C. Cooperative Extension, 263-6838. A $5.00 donation is requested to cover handouts.
