LAKEPORT – The Lake County Library announces that beginning September 6 library card-holders will be able to download electronic books to Kindles and other e-readers through the library’s website http://library.co.lake.ca.us. The library’s website will display a link to Overdrive, where patrons can view a selection of more than 1,000 titles.
To check out e-books, patrons will go to Overdrive, select and download books which remain on the e-reader until the due date, at which time they disappear. Patrons may have five books checked out and may request a maximum of five titles. Overdrive has online tutorials and a help desk to assist patrons.
