Middletown Pool Opens June 13th
Public Services Director Caroline C. Chavez announced today that the Middletown Pool located at 20962 Big Canyon Rd. will open Wednesday, June 13, 2012, and will remain open for recreational swimming Wednesdays through Sundays 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. through Sunday, August 12, 2012. Hours may be adjusted to accommodate for attendance. The pool is closing unusually early this year during the week because the start of school is Tuesday, August 14.
Two lifeguards have been hired for this summer's season; both lifeguards reside in Lake County.
Pool patrons 10 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible young adult 15 years of age or older.
Hardester's Market in Middletown has once again generously agreed to donate free swim passes for children who are 12 years of age and under. Passes may be obtained by simply dropping by the Middletown Hardester's Store and picking a pass up prior to going to the pool. Hardesters have unselfishly donated $36,958.50 in free pool passes to Middletown children since 1988. Director Chavez expresses her sincere appreciation to the Hardester's for their continued, unselfish support to the community. The pool fees are as follows:
Children under 12 years old: $ 1.25
13 years and older: $ 2.00
Season passes are available for individuals for $40.00 and Families (immediate family members only) for $80.00.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact the Department at 262-1618. Director Chavez and his Public Services staff wish everyone a safe and happy summer!
