CalWORKs On-the-Job Training (OJT)

The OJT program provides CalWORKs WtW participants with the training and work experience necessary to obtain and maintain permanent employment, thereby becoming self-sufficient.  Potential OJT participants are evaluated and screened to determine if they meet the minimum criteria to qualify for the OJT program.  Qualifying participants are given the opportunity to apply for training positions in a variety of job classifications at several different County departments.  LCDSS has an agreement with these departments to provide OJT participants with training and work experience that prepares them to qualify for permanent employment with the County.
