In order to be condidered for an adoption you must:
Be at least 18 years of age
Have legal identification with currant address
Be willing and able to provide loving attention, medical care, and lifetime stability for an animal
Pay our adoption fee, spay/neuter fees and/or deposit
***LAKE COUNTY ANIMAL CARE & CONTROL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DENY ANY APPLICATION FOR ANY REASON.
Livestock ownership is a major responsibility, and one that should not be taken lightly. As part of lake County animal Care & Control's on-going effort to find the best possible homes for the animals, we ask that you take time to fill out this application and expect to spend time discussing it with one of our adoption representitives before the adoption is complete.
CONDITIONS OF ADOPTION
LAKE COUNTY ANIMAL CARE & CONTROL DEPARTMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHECK ON THE WELFARE OF THIS ANIMAL AT ANY TIME DURING THE NEXT TWELVE (12) MONTHS. CHANGES IN CUSTODY OF THE ANIMAL(S) WILL NOT BE MADE WITHOUT FIRST NOTIFYING THE ANIMAL CARE & CONTROL DEPARTMENT.

Animal will be sold to the person/party who has submitted the highest written bid and has an approved application on file.
The highest bidder may decline the award in which case the animal will be awarded to the next highest bidder with an approved application on file. Bids must be clearly stated on the bid form. Minimun increase of bid is $10.
Sale will be finalized only after the Buyer agrees to the following conditions:
The animal must be paid for and removed from the facility be the Buyer within 24 hours of notification of bid approval by the Lake County Animal Care & Control Department.
Payment must be made in cash or by money order -- no checks accepted. All sales final.
Animals may only be purchased for personal use and not for purposes of resale, resale for slaughter, or holding or transporting the equine for slaughter, pursuant to Cal. Penal Code 597.2(c)(2).
