The County of Lake invites bids for the delivery of Assorted foods and kitchen products to the Lake County Jail/Hill Road Facility in Lakeport. Items are listed in the six (6) schedules attached hereto. Quantities listed are approximate, based on amounts purchased during a six month period in 2008, and in no way obligate the County of Lake to purchase the full amount specified. Bidder guarantees unit price if fewer units are purchased.
All unit prices bid shall include delivery and sales tax, if applicable. Any discount allowed must be included on bid. Award will be recommended to the lowest responsive, responsible and qualified bidder that meet or exceed all specifications. In determining the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, the COUNTY shall consider the following: 1) The lowest cost, 2) Quality offered and its conformity with the specifications, 3) Delivery and discount terms, and 4) Conditions of the bid and the service reputation of the bidder. If the difference in bid prices is 10% or $10,000.00, whichever is less, and quality being equal, preference in awarding the bid shall be given to responsible local bidders.
